Skillate is hiring for the role of Digital Business Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with security best practices in mind.
• Automate security testing tools and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., static code analysis, dynamic application security testing, container security).
• Conduct security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
• Work closely with development teams to prioritize and remediate identified security issues.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to ensure security configurations are maintained and adhered to.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and participate in incident response processes.
• Provide security guidance and educate teams on security best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
• Monitor and analyze security logs to identify and respond to security incidents.
• Assist with incident response and recovery procedures.
• Stay informed of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to DevSecOps.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a strong focus on security.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket, Snyk, Checkmarx)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of security practices and tools such as vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS, SIEM, etc.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and familiarity with relevant security standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, CIS Benchmarks).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Preferred Technical Skills:
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified DevSecOps Engineer, Certified Ethical Hacker, CISSP).
  • Experience with implementing and managing security in cloud environments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
