DevOps Engineer Job in New Delhi at Roadcast

Roadcast is hiring for the role of DevOps Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Set up and manage applications, databases, web servers (especially Nginx), and proxy servers in a Unix-based environment.
• Maintain and monitor a large number of servers with a goal of 0 downtime.
• Identify and respond to system vulnerabilities and security threats in real time.
• Perform regular server upgrades, patch management, and health checks.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for infrastructure and applications.
• Ensure system compliance and security policies are enforced, with exposure to SOC 2 or similar compliance standards being a plus.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues promptly — even outside regular working hours when needed.
• Automate server and service provisioning where possible using shell scripts or tools like Ansible, Terraform, etc.

Requirements:

• Strong command over Unix/Linux systems and system-level troubleshooting.
• Solid experience in setting up and managing Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, and other common services.
• Hands-on experience in server hardening, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Shell, or Python) for automation tasks.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, GCP, etc.) and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Experience working with compliance tools or frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc. (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to fix critical issues on the fly.
• Flexibility in work hours for emergency incident handling.
