BT Group is hiring for the role of Design Engineer Professional - Service Problem Management!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Develop software and technical solutions for Fault, Incident, Service, and Change Management within SPM.
• Deliver software solutions through automation across UK networks/IT and Enterprise Autofix instances.
• Design and develop automation pipelines and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Deep dive into technical areas and provide optimal solutions for challenging situations.
• Lead vendor technical teams for BAU and Transformation deliveries.
• Act as domain and technical focal point with strong telecom domain understanding.
• Communicate project needs divisionally and cross-divisionally.
• Contribute to team process and standard definition.
• Manage concurrent application releases and small engineering teams for timely delivery.
• Apply Agile methodologies for successful project execution.
• Drive strong engineering practices within the team.
• Debug complex issues and provide effective solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or any relevant field of engineering
• 2+ Years of proven experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Ansible, Juju charms, AWS, Jenkins, ELK stack, OpenStack and virtualization (KVM), etc
• Ability to create and articulate a compelling strategic vision and roadmap
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences
• Expertise in creating and sustaining complex business change
• Strong change management skills
• Ability to document and map processes in detail
• Excellent organizational and structuring skills for process flow synchronization
