Design Engineer - Controls Job in Pune at Siemens Energy

Siemens Energy is hiring for the role of Design Engineer - Controls!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop solutions to replace obsolete equipment/parts to be able to maintain the businesses' fleet of gas turbines
• To convert these solutions into generic replacement kits/parts for retrofitting
• Designing/constructing new hardware solutions to replace obsolete Turbine control systems or upgrade current terms
• Construct new hardware solutions to replace obsolete auxiliary control systems eg Generator Control Panels: Motor Control Centres: And power within Gas Explosive atmospheres
• Support sales by supplying detailed quotes for engineering times, potential hardware requirements, and possible engineering solutions with regards to customer enquires

Requirements:

• A degree or equivalent professionally accredited or recognized in an engineering subject area preferably relating to the fields of Controls, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, and Software.
• Minimum 1 yrs to 3 yrs of experience
• Working experience with hardware design CAD tools Promise-e and Microstation.
• Knowledge of change/configuration management tools and processes, as well as experience with other IT-related tools and software for business analytics and project management.
• Working experience of IEC60079 Explosive Atmospheres Part 14: Electrical Installation design and selection would be beneficial.
• Experience working with gas turbine technology or similar industrial products for the Oil & Gas or Energy industry would be advantageous, but experience from other industries with transferrable skills could also be considered.
• A practitioner of a Systems Engineering approach to product improvement is highly desirable.
