Arcadis is hiring for the role of Design Engineer!
- Client liaison from initial contact through project delivery
- Delivering small to medium-sized projects throughout the project lifecycle
- Producing electrical engineering deliverables where appropriate
- Liaise with CAD Engineers to determine safe, cost-effective substation design solutions
- In addition, you will assist in the delivery of project-related tasks to meet budget, timeframe, and quality targets, promoting all facets of Arcadis services during interfaces. Contributing towards the achievement of the divisional business plan your role will be key to maintaining and exceeding our client’s expectations and building networks within the industry
- In a sector that is changing so dramatically, you’ll own your journey, expanding your knowledge in areas you’re passionate about and building the right career for you. The role requires a level of flexibility to visit site locations/ client offices across the UK as soon as we are able to do so
Requirements:
- Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Experience working as a substation/plant design engineer to regulated industry standards
- Preparation of 33kV,132,275 and 400kV Substation primary equipment design deliverables, feasibility studies, reports, programs and cost estimating
- Broad knowledge of transmission technologies and a good understanding of how these technologies influence the operation and performance of the transmission system
- Can demonstrate success in delivering engineering and or projects safely to budget, time and quality that meets customer expectations
- Ability to work with internal and external parties and work within a strong team-working culture
- Experience in writing clear and concise documentation
- International project experience preferred
