Hitachi Energy is hiring for the job role of Design Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Preparation of engineering documentation including protection block diagram, interlock drawings, and interface drawings, generating a bill of materials & IED order code preparation, signal i/o schedules, schematics drawing for all types of protection (feeders, transformers, busbars, reactors, capacitors).
• Preparation of Functional design documents: Technical specification, general arrangement drawing, Product selection, and Scada Overview drawings.
• Preparation of manufacturing documentation: apparatus list, wiring reports, label list, detailed assembly documents, difference list for revised documents for manufacturing control and production cabinets, ct, vt, marshaling boxes, etc.
• Preparation of Cable Documents: Prepare Pre cable list and Cable schedule for Control room Equipment, Yard Equipment, Fiber optic cables, and all site cable coordination cables.
• Work with the project team to fully develop a Plant circuit diagram with complete integration and coordination of HV, AC/DC Systems, and Networking with control and protection.
• Should able to identify the customer requirements by understanding specifications, Tender proposals and conduct review meetings with your superiors, and document the list of available and pending inputs while highlighting the risks involved.
• Develop the plant circuit diagram with the support of suitable design tools and send for validation to customers and prepare a plan for comments follow-up and approval.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in relay protection and control design of high voltage (11 - 765 kV) substations including:
• Knowledge of protection principles and practices for transmission lines,distribution feeders, and major substation equipment
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC fundamentals, including understanding of three phase power systems
• Knowledge of design documents and drawings necessary to complete a substation protection and control design project.
• Basic Knowledge on RTU Equipment’s and their functioning and Basic Knowledge on Micro Scada, GPS devices and their functioning and various types of protocols and latest trends in market
