Schneider Electric is hiring for the role of Design Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Prepare SS layout, cable routing, bus duct layout, and cable schedule for brownfield projects with proper interfacing from the site.
• Prepare BOQ for LSTK items such as cables, steel, trays, earthing, and lighting.
• Perform various calculations and reviews for earthing, lightning, illumination, DC systems, transformers, cables, and switchyards.
• Understand the detailed requirements and expectations of the customer.
• Provide pre-sales and tendering support to define the right architecture aligned with cost and quality.
• Plan and track the overall project according to company rules and regulations.
• Collaborate with utility-scale design teams to enhance solutions and offerings.
• Prepare technical specifications, field quality plans, standard operating processes, BOQs, and control budget quantities related to Electrical Distribution Systems.
• Review drawings and design documents, incorporate input from mechanical, electrical, control & instrumentation, and other engineering teams, and hand over final designs/drawings to the execution team.
• Develop vendors, conduct technical evaluations, and recommend vendors for Electrical Distribution, SCADA, civil/structural, etc.
• Participate in the innovation team to implement new technologies aimed at reducing project time and costs.

Requirements:

• Education Qualification: ITI/Diploma/BE
