Deputy Manager - Sustainability Job in Pune at Kohler

Kohler is hiring for the role of Deputy Manager - Sustainability!

Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Support the Sustainability Engineering Team
• Work with the global teams to understand the goals of the company and how the team and individuals can support
• Build relations with Kohler’s global manufacturing operations and sites including (but not limited to) vitreous, cast iron, plastics, vikrell, stainless steel, brass, FRP, glass, composites
• Develop energy, water, and material flow balances, concentrating on primary material sets used in the above operations
• Activities can include but are not limited to data analysis, analysis methodology improvement projects, software improvement projects, design for manufacturer studies, creating or modifying tool designs, BOM, processing cause and corrective actions for non-conformances, maintaining production work instructions, supplier management, and component or integrated systems test
• Support external teams to be proactive on Sustainability Goals for Kohler
• Support Kohler Sustainability Goals related to Design for Environment (DfE) and Positive by Design (PbD)
• Support and communicate product sustainability innovation by encouraging new product development (NPD) teams to make design changes with sustainable impact
• Assist NPD teams to use the tools/ platforms as an innovation catalyst for Product Sustainability

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s (advanced degree) in Engineering (Environmental or Chemical or similar)
• 2-7 years of work experience in Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCI), Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) and SimaPro or similar tools
• Knowledge about Product transparency certificates and Product category rules
• Ability to work in a fast-paced global environment and multi-task
• Organization skills and detail-oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Advanced Excel will be an added advantage
• Have worked in Manufacturing Operations
• Preferred Environmental Engineers
• Analytics tools using Python, Macros, Power BI
• Use of SAP (or similar ERP tools)
• Information Systems or related field of study
