Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring for the role of Deputy Manager, FP&A!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Reviewing and finalizing Business AOP (Annual Operating Plan), Planning, and Timely Reporting.
  • Driving agenda of MBR (Monthly Business Review) & QBR (Quarterly Business Review) for Business leaders with APAC Division leader and India Leadership to understand the variance and drive corrective action.
  • Finding opportunities and preparing plans to mitigate risks & target growth.
  • Preparing and sharing updated Rolling Forecast with the Leadership every month for timely discussion.
  • Providing timely and accurate management financial reporting.
  • Driving balanced business growth by focusing on the quality of revenue and understanding drivers of growth for the Business.
  • Analyzing and driving competition insights leading to market-beating growth.
  • Leading return on investment optimization and identifying improvements in marketing spending.
  • Evaluating and driving business deals that meet strategic needs.
  • Steering along with the supply chain on Inventory level optimization and working capital management.
  • Delivering Revenue and EBITA targets through financial reporting and analytics and driving EBITA improvement initiatives.
  • Monitoring and Evaluate critical metrics and highlight key areas for effective action.
  • Driving better product mix and identifying and implementing Pricing & COGS reduction opportunities to ensure improvement in Gross Margin.
  • Implementing cost containment plans to ensure effective utilization of funds.
  • Driving every element of P&L and reporting Variance in Actual vs. AOP vs. Last Year to achieve sustainable growth.
  • Providing performance insights and publishing monthly dashboards to drive growth and improve profitability.
  • Driving automation of reports through IT platforms to reduce manual processes, save time, and improve compliance and quality.
  • Identifying simplification areas and implementing processes to drive improvement in Bias for Action.
  • Partnering with consultants/auditors in driving different business SOP improvements/audits - ensure that they are relevant and enforceable in the given business environment.
  • Ensuring that all existing SOPs and Delegation of Authority are followed – any deviation to the same is accurately evaluated and corrective actions initiated.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant or MBA with ~ 2-4 years of post-qualification experience
  • Working experience in ERP system (E1/SAP)
  • Exposure to Hyperion planning would be an added advantage
  • Strong Financial & Business Skills
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory skills and customer service orientation
  • Team Management, People Management
  • Ability to multi-task, meet timelines, and be able to grow in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple expectations in a typical Matrix Organization structure
  • Candidates working in a multicultural environment would be preferred
  • The ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge positive professional relationships with subordinates, peers, and upper management are prerequisites to success in this position
