Deputy Manager - Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) (Project) Job in Chandrapur at Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Management:

• Develop a comprehensive project plan and timeline for ASRS installation and commissioning.
• Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion of milestones and adherence to budget.
• Coordinate with internal teams and contractors to achieve project objectives.

2. Installation & Commissioning:

• Oversee the installation and alignment of ASRS components, including mechanical structures, conveyors, lifters, and racks.
• Supervise the commissioning process, ensuring the system operates as per design specifications.
• Ensure seamless integration of the ASRS with production lines, material handling systems, and ERP systems.

3. Technical Oversight

• Provide technical input for the erection of ASRS components and sub-systems.
• Verify compliance with design parameters for load handling, storage configurations, and retrieval mechanisms.
• Conduct testing to ensure system reliability, precision, and efficiency.

4. Coordination & Stakeholder Management:

• Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to resolve project-related issues.
• Collaborate with electrical and automation teams for synchronization of mechanical and control systems.
• Attend project review meetings and address challenges to ensure smooth progress.

5. Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including technical drawings, inspection records, and performance reports.
• Prepare and present regular updates on project status to management.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Project Management: Proven expertise in handling complex projects, including ASRS or similar material handling systems.

Technical Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of ASRS components such as lifters, stackers, conveyors, and racks.
• Knowledge of mechanical alignments, load distribution, and storage configurations.
• Familiarity with automated systems, control mechanisms, and integration with IT systems.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and address project and technical challenges.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting.

• Timely completion of ASRS project milestones.
• Accuracy and reliability of installed systems during commissioning and testing.
• Successful integration with existing material handling and production systems.
