Adani Group is hiring for the position of Deputy General Manager – Sales & Marketing

Responsibilities of the Candidate:
  • Responsible for building the market share quickly by proactively contacting customers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Responsible for making sure that External Customers’ expectations are met through continuous communication, reporting, and reviews.
  • Participate in identifying corporate sales planning and strategies.
  • Would be responsible for coordinating with all the stakeholders of the trade, analyzing and understanding customer's requirements, and offering them the best solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collecting market intelligence and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Improving the profitability of the organization.
  • Responsible for execution of sales plan and achieving the sales target assigned.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with old and current customers to generate additional revenue for the organization.
  • Develop strong customer relationships through regular visits or timely responses to their queries.
  • Responsible for timely submission of best possible proposals/quotations for all inquiries received, by working in coordination with the Pricing/ Procurement team, so that customer business can be secured while ensuring good margin for the organization.
  • Conducting research about the client’s background, turnover, strengths, weakness, and products through online/offline information (New Customer Acquisition)
  • Conduct basic marketplace intelligence and research to map the business potential of existing customers as well as identify new customers.
  • Conduct meetings and briefing sessions as required to impart knowledge, integrate team-­ working, and access overall sales performance and updates.
  • Ensure timely redressal of pre & post-sales customer queries, and grievances and escalate issues whenever required.
  • Track multiple tasks with various internal (Terminal, Sales, Rail ops, Customer Service, etc.) and external stakeholders (Lines, Transporters, Customs, etc.) during the customer onboarding process to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Provide monthly reports to monitor performance against measures.

Requirements of the candidate:

  • Must have strong Customer Service orientation
  • MBA – Operations/Sales & Marketing/SCM/Logistics
  • Having prior knowledge/experience in the following is an added advantage:
    • Warehousing sales, domestic cargo sales
    • Cargo movement by rail
  • Should be a good team player with a collaborative approach
  • Should have the ability to mitigate conflicts & ability to build consensus to drive results & execute action plans
  • Business intelligence
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Good hands-on experience with MS Office
