Deputy General Manager - Business Finance Job in Bangalore at Flipkart

Flipkart is hiring for the role of Deputy General Manager - Business Finance!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Partnering with business teams (Verticals: Air, Hotels, Packages, etc & Horizontals: Growth Marketing, Platform-Product & Tech, Customer Experience, Bank Alliances, Accounting, Legal & Taxation, etc) to achieve both top-line and bottom-line targets.
• Driving discussions with business teams related to revenue management, pricing & discounts, and working capital with a clear view of the path to profitability.
• Working closely with relevant teams and taking complete ownership of sustainable cost reduction methods, policy formulation & standardization in line with industry benchmarks.
• Working with Product and Tech teams to identify and solve business problems, quantify the impact of product features/ tech interventions, and drive the post-implementation roadmap.
• Driving strategies around user growth, customer share, and organic customer growth to build a healthy Top of the Funnel.
• Reviewing and analyzing historical business trends, understanding demand drivers, preparing forecast data, developing financial models, and evaluating business outcomes.
• Monitoring financial and business KPIs, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of variance.
• Following the competitive landscape and feed management with relevant intelligence. 
• Monitoring competitor activity and strategies to benchmark performance and identify improvement areas.
• Building and managing financial models for forecasting, variance analysis, and problem-solving.
• Facilitating regular business review meetings: present key insights provide recommendations for decision-making making and be the Source of Truth for business metrics.

Requirements:

• Experience in financial analysis, working with large amounts of data, and an ability to drive actionable insights out of data preferably on QlikView, Tableau, or any other BI tools.
• Experience in Quarterly and Monthly Financial reporting, annual budgeting, and forecasting process.
• Prior experience in designing MIS to facilitate business performance reviewing.
• Problem Solving Ability while working with cross-functional teams.
