Decathlon is hiring for the role of Decarbonisation Leader!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Work with Bangalore-based Project Leader and coach supplier sites on accurate data input and updates.
• Ensure reliability of sustainability data within tools (e.g., Resource Advisor).
• Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies or issues in the tool.
• Support production teams and suppliers in setting SBT (Science-Based Targets).
• Validate targets, commitment letters, and maintain documentation.
• Develop and consolidate CO₂ emission reduction trajectories.
• Support suppliers on the “0 Coal” transition roadmap and monitor progress.
• Follow up on energy-efficiency projects and evaluate the cost and ROI of renewable energy solutions across countries.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders including CDP, SBT, RE100, UNFCCC, NGO partners, and other brands.
• Contribute to improving environmental and human-rights performance across the supply chain.
• Share quarterly status updates on CO₂ reduction performance: SBT progress, renewable energy adoption, coal phase-out, training sessions, and external developments.

• Hands-on experience in environmental compliance audits, carbon pricing, renewable-energy projects (onsite/offsite/PPA), energy management, and efficiency.
• Minimum 2–3 years of core manufacturing industry experience.
• Social-compliance experience is an added advantage.
