Database Reliability Engineer Internship in Hyderabad at Zeta Tech

Zeta Tech is hiring for the role of Database Reliability Engineer!

Responsibilities of a Candidate:

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud-based database systems on Amazon RDS
• Set up and configure monitoring and alerting tools to continuously monitor the health, performance, and availability of cloud databases
• Respond to alerts and incidents, working to minimize downtime and performance degradation
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code (IAC) templates (e.g., using Terraform) to automate routine database tasks, deployments, and updates
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to database-related incidents and perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Assist in implementing and maintaining security best practices for cloud databases, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Regularly audit and assess database security configurations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in managing and administering PostgreSQL database systems in Amazon RDS
• Strong SQL skills for writing and optimizing database queries
• Experience with the AWS platform and Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools for DB systems (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana) are beneficial
• Ability to write scripts (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and infrastructure as code (IAC) for provisioning and managing cloud resources
