RealPage is hiring for the role of Database Engineer I!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Install, configure, and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases in Windows OS.
• Download and install Database patches and updates
• Work on Service and Change tickets.
• You'll provide production support in 24*7 weekly rotational based on-call
• Hands-on experience in handling and resolving L1 & L2 Alerts
• Monitor Replicated databases; perform day-to-day database administration.
• Proactively monitoring database performance by inhouse and alerting tools
• Database backup and recovery strategies and implementation
• Make sure backups are completed within SLA, troubleshooting for backup failures
• Understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• Identify problems and work with Senior Members for RCA and document the source of problems and their resolution.
• Implement DBA best practices regarding database maintenance

Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of proven experience working as a SQL DBA with SQL 2016 and above on Windows.
• Have automation and programming background: Can script in Python, PowerShell, and Shell. Any other programming experience desired skill.
• LINUX/Windows support experience in an IT environment.
• Experience in building & supporting medium to large-scale database environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to learn new technologies and adapt to it.
• Excellent communication & collaboration skills.
• Working knowledge on GCP/AWS Environments.
• Interest in performance tuning.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment, both onshore and offshore.
• Willingness to learn new database technologies.
• Commitment to updating job knowledge through educational opportunities, certifications, and training.
• Knowledgeable of Database clustering technologies, server farming techniques, load balancing, F5 Big IP or other hardware load balancing desired.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery techniques including backup and restoration technologies, replication strategies, fail-over and recovery desired.
• Should work with US team hence the Shift timings would be 6:30 PM IST to 3:30 AM IST.
