S&P Global is hiring for the role of Database Developer Support!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Design and develop robust Oracle databases that power critical business operations.
• Craft complex SQL queries that unlock insights and generate informative reports.
• Optimize database performance to ensure seamless user experiences and efficient data flow.
• Maintain and troubleshoot AWS RDS instances and Elasticsearch infrastructure, working with various AWS services like Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, EC2, Ops Works, and RDS.
• Ensure code quality and maintainability through test-driven development and debugging skills.
• Address live issues and tackle challenges independently.
• Guide and support fellow developers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in Oracle database programming (SQL, PL/SQL) and database design principles.
• Comfortable working with AWS services and Elasticsearch infrastructure.
• Experience with GIT pipelines for version control and collaboration.
• Good working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Ability to write performant, testable, and maintainable code.
• Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Knowledge of code debugging techniques for root cause analysis (RCA).
• Open to working IST hours (12-9 PM).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a team environment.
