Database Developer / Engineer Job in Bangalore at Epicor

Epicor is hiring for the role of Database Developer / Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and data mining.
• Develop database schemas, tables, and dictionaries.
• Ensure the performance, security, and availability of databases.
• Prepare documentation and specifications.
• Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
• Ensure profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Developer or a similar role
• Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
• Experience with database design, documentation, and coding
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Certification in database development or related fields is a plus
• Experience with cloud databases (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes
