EY is hiring for the job role of Database Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Understand complex concepts and use technology to support ETL, data modeling, analysis, visualization, or process automation
• Select appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools and applications and uses accordingly
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team structure, but also independently
• Demonstrate analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving
• Communicate fluently orally and in writing and can present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Plan, schedule and monitor work activities in order to meet time and quality targets
• Absorb rapidly new technical information, and business acumen, and apply it effectively
• Work in a team environment with strong customer focus, good listening, negotiation and problem-resolution skills

Requirements:

•  Excellent written, oral, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously through effective prioritization, organization, flexibility and self-discipline.
• Must have demonstrated project management experience.
• Knowledge of firm’s reporting tools and processes.
• Proactive, organized and self-sufficient with ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Analyses complex or unusual problems and is able to deliver insightful and pragmatic solutions.
• Ability to quickly and easily create/ gather/ analyze data from a variety of sources.
• A robust and resilient disposition able to encourage discipline in team behavior
• Overall, 2 to 4 Yrs. experience as Database Engineer
• Experience in understanding the architecture of SQL and No-SQL databases  
• Experience in handling large datasets, in data modelling, and creating database designs
• Strong experience in T-SQL, Stored Procedures, functions, indexing, query optimization
• Strong experience in ETL tools preferably Azure Data Factory, Alteryx
• Experience in Dev Ops
• Experience in administrative activities of the database  
• Good to have experience in Databricks, Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Snowflake
• Good to have experience in reporting/visualization tools (Power BI)
