Data Axle Inc. is hiring for the role of Database Administrator!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Research, design, and implement new marketing database systems based on customer requirements.
• Evaluate new marketing database software features and related products, identifying improvement areas to create a more effective and efficient marketing database system.
• Define logical attributes and design complex data structures to accommodate marketing database production, storage, maintenance, accessibility, and enhance performance.
• Coordinate with peers to determine the impact of marketing database changes on other IT and business systems.
• Perform general technical troubleshooting to resolve marketing database performance and/or capacity issues.
• Monitor marketing database performance optimizing the platform through application tuning.
• Set up and maintain documentation and standards related to database design and operations.
• Perform marketing campaign software testing and upgrades.
• Implement automated workflows to improve processes.
• Evaluate suggested new hardware and software configurations ensuring databases and applications unitizing database follow best practices.
• Complete on-call and after standard business hours work as required.
• Remain current on technology and trends in marketing campaign database administration.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of marketing database installation, operations, maintenance and upgrading procedures.
• Knowledge of marketing database vulnerability mitigation best practices.
• Knowledge of system, hardware, and software analysis policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
• Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the company and with various business contacts outside of the company in an articulate, professional manner.
• Ability to write and execute SQL/NSQL queries and interpret results.
• Ability to understand concerns and provide knowledge to users and internal support teams.
• Understanding of underlying operating systems.
• Skill in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be team-focused with outstanding customer service skills.
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer-related field is required.
• Programming skill in at least one programming or scripting language (Powershell, Java, or Kettle preferred).
• Experience with software installations and upgrades is required.
• Experience with SQL is preferred.
• Experience Required: 3 to 5 years of previous relevant Windows-based computer and database application administration experience is required.
