Data Strategy Analyst Job in Gurgaon at American Express

American Express is hiring for the role of Data Strategy Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Conduct data discovery and analysis in support of various data strategy initiatives.
• Assist data architects in assessing the current state of the data ecosystem to identify data challenges and opportunities.
• Prepare interview questionnaires, consolidate responses from data discovery sessions, and identify themes and recommendations.
• Understand and provide recommendations on data flows, data relationships, linkages, and associated rules.
• Build conceptual/logical data models for data platforms, along with associated metadata.
• Query data platforms to assess data availability, quality, and to build reports and insights to assist data initiatives.
• Support the creation of holistic Data Architecture, roadmaps, and associated data artifacts.
• Understand and adopt frameworks and best practices from CoDO Data governance and the Chief Data Office.
• Provide ongoing updates to the Project Management Office on the status of data strategy initiatives.

Requirements:

• Have 2+ years of direct work experience in the data management/analytics space.
• Demonstrate experience performing data analysis and working with analytics teams.
• Show experience in capturing data needs, identifying the root causes of data challenges, and defining data roadmaps.
• Understand the origin and transformation of data along a business process lifecycle.
• Possess experience in data modeling tools and terminologies, database technologies, including data platforms on the cloud.
• Understand data governance, data quality, data security, master data, metadata management, and data principles.
• Exhibit a track record of understanding business challenges and translating them into solutions.
• Have exposure to current data management, architecture, and data product techniques and trends.
• Be a self-starter who takes initiative, handles ambiguity, and finds logical steps to move forward.
