Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Be responsible for the analysis, construction, testing, and maintenance of software as the major component, to meet agreed business needs.
• Have the ability to code bespoke software, maintain existing software, or integrate software applications and modules to agreed specifications, created in partnership with team members.
• Participate in the creation and execution of unit testing and integration testing, ensuring the application meets requirements.
• Provide quantitative Engineering support to operations or other development teams.
• Create and maintain required technical documentation and manuals related to assigned software to ensure supportability and reuse.
• Review the work of peers and more junior developers.
• Assist in the identification and implementation of short-term and long-term solution options, including risk assessments.
• Assist with improvements to prevent problems, including problem resolution workflow.
• Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work.
• Provide timely status updates for areas of individual responsibilities within projects to the supervisor.
• Actively participate in team and status meetings.
• Be accountable for the quality of work, delivered within agreed procedures and timeframes and focused on internal and/or external customer needs.
• Provide input into assessment and training/mentoring of junior team members, where applicable.
• Elaborate Data Sciences and Quantitative models for Analytics content application design.

Requirements:

• Good working knowledge of Python, R, C++, AngularJS, and AWS.
• Analytical capabilities: able to assess, challenge, and validate information (both quantitative and qualitative) and make sound judgments in a timely manner about actions or escalation required.
• Strong communication skills (both written and oral): able to distill complex information, communicate key messages, and explain issues clearly and concisely to internal or external audiences.
• Ability to influence others: capable of making a strong personal impact using reasoned argument to persuade others, able to offer constructive challenges, deliver strong messages, and respond to challenges effectively.
• Teamwork and collaboration: being able to work effectively with others as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve desired outcomes, as well as being a self-starter capable of working independently.
• Team and project leadership: able to lead project teams effectively to deliver objectives to an agreed timeline.
• Elaborated knowledge of financial mathematics for financial instrument pricing; experience in financial trading-specific modeling in markets like commodities, FIFXMM, exchange-traded derivatives, equity, and the indices market.
• Master Data Science techniques including ML/AI.
