Data Scientist Analyst Job in Gurgaon at United Airlines

United Airlines is hiring for the role of Data Scientist Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Execute solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, statistical modelling, and machine learning techniques.
• Build and scale foundations for data science within the team and help train another data analyst on best practices while staying up to date on ML advances.
• Understand a business problem and the available data and identify what analytics and modelling
• Develop and demonstrate improved analysis methodologies.
• Establish relationships between different Sales offerings by United and their influence on B2B contracting and spending.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
• At least 2+ years of related experience in Data science/Machine learning
• Deep understanding of data structures, relationships, and efficient transformations
• Familiarity with all parts of the data ecosystem -- acquisition, engineering, storage, management, analysis, visualization, and model deployment and monitoring 
• Fluent skill in Python/Pyspark
• Be experienced in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data from various sources to highlight patterns and relationships
•  Understanding of how and when to apply predictive and machine learning techniques like logistic regression, random forest, GBM, Neural Nets, SVM etc
• Be proficient in using database querying tools and able to write complex queries and procedures using Teradata SQL and/or Microsoft TSQL
• Being able to communicate complex quantitative analysis and algorithms in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
• Exhibit written and spoken English fluency
• Preferred:
  • Being able to communicate complex quantitative analysis and algorithms in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
  • Experience in project leadership
  • Experience with anomaly detection, imbalanced classification, and time series analysis
  • Experience working in the Aviation, Transportation, or Hospitality industry
