Data Scientist Job in Bengaluru at Expedia

Expedia is hiring for the role of Data Scientist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Support with investigating and resolving data quality issues across our key data sets to ensure accuracy in reporting of performance metrics across the business
• Identifying opportunities to leverage advanced analytics methods to enhance our data accuracy and subsequently develop a deeper understanding of performance
• Carrying out weekly analytics of core performance metrics with a focus on understanding the drivers of conversion and experience
• Understanding the interaction of key metrics and their relationship with strategic and performance goals
• Exploratory analysis to identify friction across the funnel impacting metrics, and quantify the business impact of this
• Working with the wider product analytics team at Expedia Group to get a deeper understanding of our performance

Requirements:

• Experience creating and analysing drivers of performance metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to work through complex business problems and implement suitable solutions.
• Creative and analytical in thinking with a love for data, to both disagree with and convince senior partners backed by data.
• Experience in web analytics using tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
