Indian Express is hiring for the role of Data Scientist !

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources (both structured and unstructured).
• Use SQL to query and extract data from relational databases for analysis.
• Work with NoSQL databases like MongoDB to manage and analyze unstructured data.
• Build and deploy machine learning models to predict trends, classify data, and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify key patterns, outliers, and trends in large datasets.
• Develop statistical models to support business objectives, including hypothesis testing and data visualization.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in machine learning, data science, and data engineering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
• Create interactive data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.
• Automate and optimize data workflows and model pipelines to streamline processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related fields.
• 1-4 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or
  PyTorch.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying and managing data in relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases for working with unstructured data.
• Proficient in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or libraries such as Matplotlib and Seaborn.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and data analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (bonus).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
