- Drive analyses and investigations to a timely conclusion across multiple platforms and jurisdictions.
- Identify complex fraud patterns and their technical root causes through detailed data mining and analysis.
- Join data between platforms to track disparate fraud signals and develop a holistic view of fraud trends across PayPal’s adjacencies.
- Collaborate with organization leaders on developing KPIs and KRIs to measure the health and impact of the program.
- Expand upon investigative fraud stories by developing statistics and data visualizations to quantify and broadly assess the impact of common root causes on the platform.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficient in BigQuery and SQL.
- Experience in one or more major programming languages (Python, Java, etc.) preferred.
- Experience in Tableau preferred.
- Experience in Hadoop/Hive a plus.
- High level of theoretical and practical expertise in data mining and database technologies.
- Understanding of financially motivated cybercrime trends and typologies.
