GlobalLogic is hiring for the role of Data Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design of data solutions on Databricks including Delta Lake, data warehouse, data marts, and other data solutions to support the analytics needs of the organization.
  Apply best practices during design in data modeling (logical, physical) and ETL pipelines (streaming and batch) using cloud-based services.
• Design, develop, and manage the pipelining (collection, storage, access), data engineering (data quality, ETL, Data Modelling), and understanding (documentation, exploration) of the data.
  Interact with stakeholders regarding data landscape understanding, conducting discovery exercises, developing proof of concepts, and demonstrating it to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Total experience: 5 to 10 years
• Notice period: Immediate joiners
• Experience with one or more public clouds, such as Azure
• A reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined individual capable of planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or Electronics & Communication Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
• Capable of rapid self-learning of new software applications and programming languages
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation
• Excellent technical, analytical, time management, and organizational skills
• Requires strong collaboration, presentation, and communication skills
• Strong experience as a data developer using Python, Kafka, Spark Streaming, Azure SQL Server, Cosmos DB/MongoDB, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Search
• Strong knowledge and working experience in DW/BI, Data Engineering, and/or Data Science across various tools and domains
• Good knowledge of GitHub, Agile methodologies, and tools
• Nice to have: Experience in Data Science, AI/ML – good understanding and demonstrated application of concepts, models, and algorithms
