Data Engineer Job in Pune at UBS

UBS is hiring for the role of Data Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Automate machine learning models, database and manual processes to make better predictions, automate, and solve challenging business problems.
• Engineer reliable data pipelines for sourcing, processing, distributing, and storing data in different ways, using data platform infrastructure effectively.
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs working very closely with our business partners.
• Continually look for ways to improve your own skills and experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• Strong competence in Python.
• Strong competence in SQL and database design / architectures.
• Strong competence in Cloud services like Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure PostgreSQL and ADLS.
• Nice to have:
  • Experience with workflow orchestration platforms especially with Apache Airflow
  • Understanding of data science / machine learning models
  • Knowledge of Large Language Models.
• Knowledge of Git version control.
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies and ceremonies.
