Atlassian is hiring for the role of Data Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Be part of a world-class Data Engineering team.
- Influence product teams and inform Data Science and Analytics Platform teams.
- Partner closely with data consumers and producers to ensure the quality and usefulness of data assets.
- Strategize measurement, collect data, and generate insights.
- Contribute to understanding and improving product experience and engagement, optimizing efficiency and costs, and driving strategy.
- Define metrics.
- Instrument logging.
- Acquire and ingest data.
- Architect and model data.
- Transform data.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and enablement.
- Set up alerting, visualization, and reporting systems.
- Develop solutions at scale and improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in a STEM field.
- Proficiency in Python or other modern programming language development experience.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases experience
- Post-graduate degree (or equivalent work experience) in a STEM field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, physics, econometrics, or computer science) and 1-2 years of work experience in Data Engineering or related field
- An understanding of the SaaS business model and data structures
- Experience in Enterprise Software product development
