Skeps is hiring for the role of Data Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
• Build and optimize data systems and infrastructure to support efficient data processing and storage.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs. 
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing best practices and monitoring systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, systems, and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and apply them to improve existing systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering or related field
• 1+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow, or similar
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, or Kafka
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
