Booking Holidays is hiring for the role of Data Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Work independently on data collection and preparation.
• Use experience and seek help in complex scenarios to translate business problems into data-driven insights.
• Leverage available big data platforms to run root cause analysis, data reconciliations, and share insights with the business team.
• Maintain and drive key reports, metrics, and workflows within scope.
• Communicate results and outcomes clearly to stakeholders based on knowledge and experience.
• Actively participate in business and/or analytics team activities and suggest ways of achieving objectives (standup, planning meetings, retrospectives).
• Network and proactively connect with craft peers beyond the team scope.
• Have a strong understanding of big data ecosystems.
• Collaborate and be open to giving and receiving feedback from peers and direct stakeholders.
• Be flexible in adopting and proposing new approaches and expanding technical competencies when a more efficient way presents itself.
• Gain significant deep knowledge about the operational, tactical, and strategic workings of the department, focusing on business and technical opportunities.

Requirements:

• Educational background in a quantitative field, preferably a Master's degree.
• 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, insight generation, and data visualization.
• Experience in executing big data analytics projects in an industry setting.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL.
• Good knowledge of Python/Py-Spark.
• Familiarity with big data platforms and version control is a plus.
• Familiarity with financial metrics is a big plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to understand details while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
• Knowledge and experience using data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Data Studio, PowerBI, Mixpanel, etc.).
