Data Analyst Job in Gurgaon at American Express

American Express is hiring for the role of Data Analyst! 

Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Develop analytic and performance monitoring tools using Hive and SQL to extract and transform data and Tableau, Excel, and Power BI to visualize results.
• Automate data processes leveraging internal platforms such as EI and Event Engine.
• Provide supporting analytics for projects which influence transformational growth initiatives as part of American Express’s international strategy; including digital line journey optimization, insights into line increase program performance, loans competitive landscape etc.
• Engage with Amex Technologies to identify potential partnerships and to learn best practices for reporting solutions.
• Interest in developing reporting capabilities and analytic tools with a sharp eye toward end-user experience.
• Ability and desire to apply knowledge of data and analytics to identify opportunities for growth in product and marketing context.
• Ability to nurture relationships with key stakeholders and partners from across the Blue Box.

Requirements:

• Degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, OR, Economics, Quant Finance, etc) or degree in business/finance/economics with quantitative focus preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficiency in leveraging Hive or SQL for data manipulation & analysis.
• Experience with Excel pivots, Tableau, SAS, and Python preferred.
• Strong financial acumen and structured approach to problem solving.
• Familiarity with economics of lending products/drivers of P&L a plus.
