Skeps is hiring for the role of Data Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Develop and implement reporting infrastructure, interactive dashboards, and other analytical tools to provide insight into the data
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and highlight any issues in the existing databases/data systems
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Develop regression and forecasting models using historical data to predict the future performance of the portfolio
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics/mathematics/engineering
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
• Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Strong knowledge of and experience with Excel, SQL, Python, and dashboarding tools such as Metabase, Tableau etc.
• Develop regression and forecasting models using historical data to predict the future performance of the portfolio
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing and visualising datasets (Pandas, NumPy, sci-kit-learn, Seaborn)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Keen interest in solving problems using data and providing a new perspective to stakeholders
• Good to have:
  • Knowledge about the practices and procedures in the US unsecured lending industry
  • Knowledge about supervised and unsupervised model development
