Credit Officer Job in Ahmedabad at Sammaan Capital Ltd

Key Responsibilities:

1. Credit Evaluation & Underwriting:

• Assess loan applications for Home Loans (HL) and Loan Against Property (LAP).
• Analyze financial documents, bank statements, credit bureau reports (CIBIL), and other relevant data.
• Conduct due diligence on applicants, co-applicants, and guarantors.
• Approve or recommend loans within defined approval authority and escalate as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

2. Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

• Evaluate applicant’s repayment capacity, business viability (for LAP), and property valuation.
• Assess income stability and future earning potential of applicants.
• Identify potential risks and suggest necessary risk-mitigating measures.

3. Verification & Documentation:

• Ensure proper verification of KYC documents, property papers, income proofs, and other required documents.
• Coordinate with internal and external agencies for field verifications, legal checks, and technical property valuations.
• Maintain accurate records of loan applications and approvals.

4. Loan Structuring & Decision Making:

• Structure loan terms, tenure, and EMI based on applicant’s profile.
• Ensure adherence to loan disbursement procedures and documentation.
• Recommend loan rejections or modifications with justifications.

5. Coordination & Communication:

• Work closely with the sales and operations teams for smooth loan processing.
• Communicate loan decisions, conditions, and requirements to customers and sales teams.
• Provide support in case of customer queries regarding credit decisions.

6. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:

• Adhere to RBI/NHB/Company credit policies and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC norms.
• Keep updated on industry trends, lending regulations, and policy changes.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of home loans, loan against property (LAP), and mortgage finance.
• Financial analysis and risk assessment skills.
• Understanding of CIBIL and other credit bureau reports.
• Knowledge of property valuation and legal due diligence.
• Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and loan management software.
