Moody's is hiring for the role of Credit Associate!

Responsibilities of a Candidate:

• Collect structured/unstructured data of default and impairments 
• Process, clean, and verify data for default and ratings performance research
• Utilize MATLAB, Excel, and SQL to query and manipulate large datasets to conduct statistical analysis
• Compile statistical data packets for rating methodology reviews
• Prepare data-oriented reports and presentations concerning ratings performance 
• Support senior analysts in the drafting and visualization of default research publications
• Assist with ad-hoc quantitative projects and respond to internal as well as external data requests

Requirements:

• Graduate/Post-graduate degree in Engineering, Financial Engineering, Econometrics, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Physics, Mathematics or Business preferred
• 2 years of relevant work experience required for Graduate degree candidates -- experience in financial analysis and credit risk a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as MATLAB, SQL, R, and/or Python
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills 
• High degree of attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
•  Team player with the ability to work independently and function in a support role
