Caterpillar Inc. is hiring for the role of Cost Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Utilizes engineering drawings and 3D CAD models to extract technical data for cost analysis.
• Applies basic knowledge of the manufacturing process and materials.
• Implements DFM methodologies to simplify designs and reduce costs for selected manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to resolve technical issues effectively.
• Demonstrates accountability through timely deliverables and strict adherence to compliance standards.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of engineering prints and operational drawings
• Application knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Understanding of the manufacturing process of multiple commodities i.e., Fabrication, Castings, Forgings and Non-Metallics etc.
• Working Experience in Costing tools (aPriori, TcPCM)
• Exposure to NPI, APQP, and PPAP processes (e.g., Control Plans, FMEA, Process Flow)
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability in use of Microsoft Office software
