Goldman Sachs is hiring for the role of Core Engineering - SRE Platform - Vice President - Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• You will be working on different requirements from users and product owners to develop and operate a firmwide centralized logging system which should be able to handle large volume of log ingestion and query capabilities.
• You will run pa roduction environment spanning multiple cloud providers and on-prem data centers.
• You will diagnose and fix production issues and continually improve the reliability of the system through a postmortem process.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding and / or systems engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Java, Go
• Excellent programming skills - developing, debugging, testing and optimizing code
• Experience with algorithms, data structures and software design
• Experience with distributed systems design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Comfortable with technical ownership, managing stakeholders, and working as part of a global team
