BlackRock is hiring for the role of Core Compliance Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide advisory guidance to employees on policy and procedural matters relating to personal trading, outside activities, and any other personal conflict of interest-related policy.
• Assess risk and conflict of interest by following the policies and procedures.
• Perform Global core compliance tasks relating to the review of employee outside activities, monitoring of outside activities, preclearance approval, and other processes related to personal trading and other Core Compliance policies.
• Think beyond the process to question the status quo and bring efficiency in the process and improve the same in the long run.
• Create and maintain accurate departmental records, desktop procedures, and other supporting materials.
• Participate in global and/or regional compliance calls, initiatives, and projects.
• Work with Compliance colleagues from other BlackRock offices to ensure global best practices and consistency.
• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives allocated by the manager.
• Assess the Core Compliance Processes and look for opportunities to automate manual processes by using technology tools.
• Ensure BlackRock is regarded and continues to be regarded by regulators and peers as a company with high compliance standards.
• Participate actively in business decisions to champion our clients’ interests and assist the business in translating Compliance into their daily work.
• Have client interests at the center of everything we do.
• Help in building a strong compliance culture within BlackRock.
• Develop and foster excellence within the Compliance team.

Requirements:

• Postgraduate degree with 1.5 -4 years of relevant team-handling experience in the financial industry
• Experience in asset management or investment banking environment preferred
• Employee Compliance and personal trading experience will be an added advantage
• Prior experience of reporting, and handling big Excel data and macros is preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team-based environment and interact and communicate effectively – written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to motivate and work with the team to get the best-desired output for the function and the organization
• High standard of accuracy and eye for detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other system applications
• High proficiency with Excel and ability to manage data
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail, data analysis, and problem-solving capabilities
• Having Data Interpretation and Analytics skills will be an advantage
• Knowledge of technology and use of these in automating existing manual processes like – Python, Tableau, VBA, and other such tools would be of added advantage
