American Express is hiring for the role of Analyst- Control Management Testing- Finance!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Assist in identifying specific risks within business processes and systems alongside Finance process owners
• Support ongoing control monitoring and compile insights on key operational risk trends and events
• Proactively identify high-risk areas using automated alerts and conduct independent quality assurance and vertical process testing
• Assist in thematic risk reporting, tracking risk levels, trends, and root causes
• Contribute to risk management practices across the Finance function
• Maintain and update risk dashboards and key risk indicators (KRIs)
• Keep risk profiles and registers current and accurate
• Facilitate sharing of insights, best practices, and risk-related themes across departments

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of experience in operational risk management, internal audit, or related field
• Understanding of operational risk lifecycle activities
• Strong project management, control testing, and communication skills
• Experience with process governance aligned with regulatory frameworks or operational standards
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, including trend analysis and scenario evaluation
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field
• Advanced degrees (MBA, MSc) or certifications (e.g., FRM, CRMA) preferred
• Supporting identification of operational risks within processes and systems
• Facilitating risk assessments and compliance testing programs
• Conducting independent control monitoring and identifying control improvements
• Performing quality assurance and process testing in high-risk areas
