Grant Thornton is hiring Consultant - Indirect Tax

Responsibilities of Candidates:

• Managing end-to-end compliances under GST- preparation/ reviewing tax computations and periodic GST returns
• Effectively understanding & responding to regular Indirect Tax queries of clients
• Assisting the team in litigation matters of clients including drafting replies to show cause notices, drafting appeals, attending personal hearing, representing the client before authorities, etc.
• Preparation and filing of GST refund/ SEIS/ MEIS applications
• Managing GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C assignments including maintaining all the relevant documents
• Managing IDT due diligence/ review assignments
• Assistance in preparation of draft proposals in line with detailed scope of work
• Taking active part in regular trainings conducted by the Firm
• Assisting seniors with respect to billings and tracking receivables
• Updating clients on various legislative developments via e-mail

 Desired Profile:

• Education: CA/ LLB with relevant exposure in Indirect Tax (0-2 years of experience)
• Post-qualification experience in GST and Customs including FTP, Service Tax, Central Excise, VAT/ CST, regulatory compliances and litigations
• Working knowledge of GST Portal and Indirect Tax laws including FTP
• Client facing experience is preferred

• Good people management skills
• Strong MS Excel skills, along with good working knowledge of other MS Office programs
