Ather is hiring for the role of Concept Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Drive vehicle and ecosystem projects from concept to release.
• Be the bridge between engineering and design.
• Build product concepts that are exploratory in nature by delivering the possibility of the idea.
• Be able to articulate design requirements into solutions that can be high or low fidelity based on the requirements.
• Understand viability of a product into production while creating concept solutions.
• Emphasize building great experiences over everything else.
• Participate in the Product Architecture definition to advocate the balance of Aesthetics, Experience and Functionality.
• Benchmark similar products/experiences and brainstorm concepts.
• Present holistic experiences that stitch together both emotional and functional design.
• Have an in-depth understanding of prototyping methods.
• Coordinate with the prototyping team to get builds done.
• Knowledge of CAD tools to articulate designs.
• Collaborate with Designers and Product Managers to develop Product concepts and Experiences.
• Work with the Engineering team during handover to translate concepts to reality.
• Guide other supporting designers to develop detail-rich features within the larger project.
• Manage ODC designers for execution of design.

Requirements:

• Affinity towards learning on the job about whatever the work demands.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical Engineering.
