UBS is hiring for the role of Compliance Specialist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Act as a subject-matter expert in compliance and operational risk control (C&ORC) in managing risk.
• Ensure a profound C&ORC framework is in place and kept up-to-date with policies and procedures as well as legal, regulatory and business standards.
• Deliver independent risk assessment and provide effective challenge to the 1st and 2nd line of defense in relation to consequential risks and the risk frameworks.
• Provide business management with training, frameworks, information, and insights required to manage risk.
• Review of Operational risk issues. Check and challenge as per the Operational risk framework and timely completion.
• Coordinate with senior management to ensure a healthy controlled environment. Continuous review of the control environment to ensure it is fit-for-purpose, complete & accurate.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, machine learning, or similar (or a data analytics certification acquired through a specific program)
• 1-2 years of experience in database and project management, including programming, data mining, analysis, and reporting. Ideally in the Finance sector
• Strong technical skills in automation and data visualization tools such as Python, SQL, PowerBI, Alteryx, or others
• Ability to create databases from scratch and to develop existing frameworks. strong active listening and communication skills to build networks and partnerships at all levels
