Compliance Officer Job in Mumbai at Lucky-tech Membranes Private Limited

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and maintain the Company’s compliance program, policies and procedures (including code of conduct, antibribery, conflict of interest, whistleblower, vendor due diligence, data protection basics, environment & safety compliance where applicable).
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements for manufacturing units and offices (labour laws, factory act related, statutory registrations, GST compliance coordination, EHS and local municipal requirements) and maintain necessary records.
• Conduct periodic compliance audits (office and factory), gap analysis and corrective action tracking; coordinate with department heads to close nonconformities.
• Act as the focal point for statutory inspections, audits and external regulators; prepare responses, coordinate with internal teams and maintain evidence/records.
• Support HR & Factory teams on labourlaw compliance (PF, ESI, attendance records, contractual workforce documentation, statutory registers) and liaison with consultants/authorities as required.
• Maintain vendor & thirdparty due diligence processes; conduct background checks and ensure contract clauses related to compliance and safety are included.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws/regulations and advise management on required changes to policies, practices or training.
• Plan and deliver compliance trainings and awareness sessions for office and factory staff (statutory obligations, anticorruption basics, whistleblower channels, EHS awareness, data handling basics etc.).
• Support internal investigations related to alleged noncompliance or misconduct; prepare reports and recommend remedial measures.
• Maintain and update compliance registers, dashboards and periodic reports for senior management.
• Assist in implementation of ISO / quality / EHS related documentation and in coordination during external audits (if applicable).

Candidate Profile & Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in compliance, legal, audit, or a related function; experience in a manufacturing or factory environment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Indian statutory requirements relevant to factories and offices (labour laws, Shops & Establishment, PF, ESI, Maternity, Contract Labour Act, Factory Act
• basics, environmental & EHS norms) is required.
• Strong understanding of corporate compliance, policies, internal controls and risk assessment.
• Ability to draft clear policies, SOPs, compliance checklists and management reports.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi; Marathi is a plus for local factory coordination.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work crossfunctionally (Production, HR, Purchase, Finance, Quality).
• Proven experience in conducting audits, investigations and corrective action followup.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional ethics.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP/MRP documentation or compliance tracking tools is a plus.
• Willingness to travel PanIndia and to attend site/factory visits as required.

Education

• Graduate in Law, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field. A diploma or certification in compliance, company secretary (CS), LLB, or equivalent will be an advantage.
