Siemens is hiring for the role of Commissioning Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Testing and commissioning of Control & Relay Panels up to 765kV.
• Testing & commissioning of Protection Relays & Schemes for MV and HV applications such as feeders, transformers, distance, generator, line differential, and bus bar.
• Configuration, parameterization, Goosing, and integration of Protection IED with SCADA systems.
• Configuration of communication protocols like Modbus, DNP3.0, IEC61850, IEC60870-5-103, and creating Data Sets, RCBs, and signal tagging.
• Retrofitting and troubleshooting Protection IEDs, including replacement of Control & Relay Panels.
• Operating secondary injection test kits like Omicron, Doble, Ponovo, and Isa, and applying Auto Testing methods such as OCC, State Sequencing, Distance, and Differential Characteristics Testing.
• Preparation of commissioning documents, including SAT, test reports, commissioning schedules, and MOM.
• Planning and executing training courses and customer presentations.
• Operating systems knowledge: Windows, PC communication via serial/IP.
• Willingness to travel 80-90% of the time as required by the role.

Requirements:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 3-6 years of hands-on experience in testing and commissioning.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for customer interaction.
• Adaptive, eager to learn, and open to working on new technologies.
• Self-driven, innovative, and disciplined.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with protection and control equipment from manufacturers such as Alstom, SEL, GE, ABB, NR, and SIFANG.
• Knowledge of Process Bus Technology.
• Basic understanding of networking and communication protocols.
