ABB Group is hiring for the role of Commissioning Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Planning and executing with minimal professional guidance, complex technical field assignments involving the installation, modification, test, inspection, or repair of our excitation products equipment. Analyzing/Simulating power system/Power electronic-related aspects
• Coordinating work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments typically on remotely operated maintenance and testing equipment. Additionally, you will recommend measures to improve operations and customer service
• Following the HSE rules of the company where you are working
• Performing complex field service operations requiring electrical & automation control skills. Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, applying own knowledge and experience
• Assisting in planning and coordinating team efforts. Guiding less experienced technicians and instructing them in the proper and safe operation of equipment. Often work non-standard schedules at field locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical (EEE) or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics or Power Electronics with higher experience in Power Systems and Power Electronics with sound experience in power converters
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience is required
• knowledge of PLC, DC Drives, and Power plant experience in generators and its associates like generator controls, protection, and excitation systems would be preferred as an additional experience
• Should have very good knowledge in the field of power electronics and synchronous machines (Generators and Motors)
• A person with good communication skills and the capability to communicate with technical and non-technical people would be required
• Available to travel at any time and the travel frequency shall be 90%
