SAS Institute is hiring for the role of CloudOps AWS PlatformOps!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide daily operational support for SaaS offers, responding to incidents, executing changes, and deploying updates
• Collaborate with SAS R&D through the definition, documentation, and clear communication of SaaS operator requirements driving software enhancements, reduction of manual toil, and lower operational costs
• Manage the customer lifecycle from initial deployment, onboarding, upgrades, and off-boarding
• Innovate using automation, tooling, or scripting in Azure environments to deliver improvements in availability, scalability, and cloud infrastructure provisioning
• Perform Root Cause Analysis collaboratively with SAS R&D in support of problem management
• Integrate Azure cloud services into SaaS offerings to increase the value of the service and reduce costs
• Participate in on-call rotational assignments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in supporting customer facing cloud environments, hosting services, highly available, resilient applications and/or related activities.
• 2+ years of experience in a scripting or software development language such as Python, Groovy, Bash, Ruby, Perl, Java, Go, Camel.
• Understanding of web-based systems and the concepts behind cloud solutions.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or similar cloud products and infrastructure.
• Understanding of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Adept at working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Proactive, self-directed, detail-oriented, independent worker with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Passion for continuous learning and mastering computer-related technologies
