Google is hiring for the role of Cloud Engineer - Data!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Interact with stakeholders to translate complex business and technical requirements into recommendations for scalable and cost-effective database solutions and advisory services.
• Engage with technical leads and partners to lead high-velocity data migration and modernization to Google Cloud Platform, using Google or third-party tools and services.
• Develop and implement data quality and governance procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
• Work with customer or partner teams to troubleshoot their complex storage systems for potential performance challenges.
• Take various project requirements and organize them into clear goals and objectives, and create a work breakdown structure to manage internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP)
• Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers
• Experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python)
• Experience with data processing software and data processing algorithms
• Experience in designing and performing large-scale data migrations using various tools and services
• Experience in Google Cloud Native Databases such as Cloud Spanner, Cloud BigTable, and AlloyDB
• Experience in database design principles, data modelling, and the ability to translate business requirements into efficient database structures
• Understanding of data security measures, encryption techniques, and compliance regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
• Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python and Java, and using object-role modeling tools and frameworks
