BiCSoM is hiring for the role of Cloud Engineer Associate!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertly implement containerized solutions using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and other container orchestration tools on GCP.
- clients in migrating their existing cloud solutions from AWS and Azure to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
- Assist in the migration of on-premises applications to GCP, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical assistance in implementing GCP services effectively.
- Implement best practices for security, data management, and governance to protect clients’ cloud environments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to optimize our clients’ cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery.
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience of (0 to 2 years) with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, etc.
- Demonstrated expertise in container implementation using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Google Cloud Run, or similar container orchestration platforms.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager for managing container infrastructure on GCP.
- Experience in migrating cloud solutions from AWS and Azure to Google Cloud Platform, with a strong understanding of the differences between these environments.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices specific to container environments and experience in implementing security measures on GCP.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Load Balancing, and VPN, with a focus on container networking.
- Strong scripting skills with languages like Python, Shell, or PowerShell, particularly for automating container-related tasks.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to containerized applications and microservices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in team-oriented environment.
- Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Google Kubernetes Application Developer) are a plus.
