General Electric is hiring for the role of Cloud Applications Lead!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Report to the Director of Technical Product Management - Finance & Actuarial and is responsible for creating strong working relationships, and influence across functional groups and within Operations to execute the business strategy.
• Engage customers at technical levels to present approach and feature overview, create application design, solution design, application architecture, and database design.
• Have a deep understanding of Application development in Azure cloud and data analytics and experience in data mart management and support.
• Lead a team of developers in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure .NET / Angular web applications on cloud platforms such as Azure Kubernetes.
• Provide technical guidance to the team and ensure best practices are followed.
• Expertise in integrating .NET applications with cloud services, databases, and other third-party APIs (SharePoint). Implement and maintain cloud-based infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Implement and enforce best practices related to coding, testing, and deployment processes.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize application performance, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring responsive user experiences. Implement caching, load balancing, and other optimization techniques.
• Guide and review with the technical team to create technical documentation, including system architecture, design documents, and deployment procedures. Ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
• Implement Lean daily management and Lean continuous improvement concepts in Application development and operations.
• Innovate and continuously improve.
• Leverage deep process/domain expertise and partner with key stakeholders in design and planning decisions.
• Drive the development of products that are targeted at a (usually) very technical audience. Combines the customer vision with technical feasibility to convert business needs into functional specifications/user stories. Works with customers/stakeholders to prioritize needs.
• Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influence policy formulation.
• Interpret simple internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform.
• Offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations.
• Use multiple internal and external sources outside of your own function to help arrive at a decision.
• Communicate difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
