Civil Design Engineer - GFS Job in Mumbai at Burns & McDonnell India

Burns & McDonnell India is hiring for the role of Civil Design Engineer - GFS!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Handle project independently
• Perform and check routine/complex types of calculations and designs using both computeraided and manual design techniques and reviewing the detail drawings and layout.
• Work out cut/fill quantities and site grading o Use of tools like CIVIL 3D, In Roads, Open Roads o Surface creation/modeling for rough grading, excavation and ramp
• Plan design and modeling of Roads and Stormwater drainage works o Design of oily water drainage and pressure pipe networks
• Model Underground Civil like Ditches, Culverts, Valve Pits, Trenches, Drains etc
• Capture internal client requirements and if needed, advise them regarding structural/civil systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, client(s) and other stake holder(s) to develop a clash free system design. o Responsible to manage the assigned scope within agreed schedule and budget

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Masters in Engineering an added advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills o Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience in Civil design for industrial facilities and buildings.
• Understanding of codes and standards (AASTHO, IRC etc.) and its applicability for practical design of industrial facilities and buildings. o Dynamic personality, eager to learn and interested in a stable commitment.
• Knowledge of below mentioned tools:
• Exposure to design software CIVIL 3D must
• AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Navisworks will be added advantage
• Knowledge of Open Roads, Open Rail and Bentley tools
• Microsoft Office Tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, OneNote
