Barclays is hiring for the role of CIT Workflow and Allocation Service Executive!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Ensure daily Schedule Adherence
• Process transactions by approved processes and procedures, international regulations and within pre-agreed service levels and with speed and accuracy
•  Adhere to quality control discipline, procedures and checks at all times
• Responsible for driving own performance management, collating relevant documentation, preparing for and arranging self-performance reviews
• Ensure SLA and controls adherence
• Answer queries raised by the client & stakeholders
• Take escalated calls and return the calls when a message is taken
• Manage escalations and loop operations managers in all circumstances
• Keep the OM regularly updated on any developments relating to the performance of the team, updates received and queries from clients 
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts to effectively manage and mitigate legal and regulatory risk.
• Identify, escalate and address legal risk issues arising from contracts (or non-contractual projects with a technology/commercial legal focus) to be entered into by members of the Barclays Group (both within the UK and globally); and the operations and technology functions’ work generally as well as the support of Barclays’ service company, by providing prompt, commercial and pragmatic advice.

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent in the role holder’s relevant location), with relevant post-qualification experience (in-house and/or private practice) ideally with one or more of the following areas: software/fintech, commercial contracts, payments, financial services, e-commerce
• Legal Graduate
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial agreements and experience in negotiating and advising on general commercial/technology contracts, preferably including a range of agreements from the following examples (this is an illustrative list):
  • software, data and index licences
  • proof of concept agreement
  • non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements
  • service agreements
  • hardware and software maintenance agreements
  • software development agreements
  • software-as-a-service agreements
  • donation agreements
  • intellectual property licence agreements
• Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Experience with innovation, FinTech/payments businesses and regulatory environments.
  • Experience of the financial services industry, either in-house with a financial services organisation or with a significant law firm
  • Understanding, knowledge and experience of Barclays and its operational and strategic objectives
  • Demonstrable experience of identifying improvements in processes and ways of working and supporting the implementation of the same
